Bunk Beds and Nintendo
Yep, we’re identical (usually the first question people ask). We figured out at a very young age that whenever we worked together we would double the outcome. As kids we would always begin negotiations with mom (she would cave first) then, with her support, flip the pressure on dad until we had our way. Whether it was being allowed to stay up late or having pancakes for dinner, we earned it together.
A Trip in a Delorean
We grew up fast. When our parents split we had out first taste of how important a home was. Dad, owning his dream home, did not want to move. He worked three jobs to cover the mortgage and put food on the table while still managing to find the time to coach our soccer team. The rest was on us. We found cash jobs around the neighborhood mowing lawns, painting fences, and shoveling snow etc, for cash until we were old enough to get a real job. Some may call it child labour; Dad called it instilling character. Whatever it was it helped us understand the importance of not just of owning a house, but creating a home. Chris jumped into sales and marketing and Jamie entered the first of 15 years in the service industry. We then added a fourth Taurus to the home (a labrador named Dexter) and grew up in the house Dad always intended.
Back to the Future
Jamie tied the knot with Angela last summer in our fathers backyard with 250 friends and family. They just finished renovations on their little rancher in the Newlands area of Langley and gave birth to their son Iver on April 15th. It has been a rough adjustment on their spoiled, quirky Aussie Shepard named Archie who now has to share the spotlight. Chris married Hayley at a surprise wedding during their friends and family Christmas party a couple years ago and recently bought a home in Brookswood. They have a Bernese Mtn Dog puppy named Theo, who is a shedding and drooling machine. Our families live only a few blocks from the house we grew up in (Dads) and just moved our Grandmother out to be closer to our family and her great grandson.
Skills & Service
Recently, Chris has joined Jamie in Real Estate sales after five successful years in sales and marketing management with Red Bull Canada. Jamie has always worked in Customer Service, but had a passion for Real Estate Investment. In 2012 he joined Prudential Power Play Realty where he quickly won the award for Rookie of the Year. By 2015 he had become the top realtor at that office. He has since switched offices to Royal Lepage Wolstencroft, and has been awarded into the Fraser Valley Real Estate Boards Medallion Club, an award given to the top ten percent of Realtors. For obvious reasons, we are very excited to have officially partnered as this has always been our plan from the start. The Property “Twin” just doesn’t have the same ring to it…
Our friends describe us as similar… but completely different, a great balance to a perfect team. Together we are the Property Twins. Making real estate, well… fun.
